General Requirements for Electrician:-

Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Licensed Electrician (Industrial Red Seal Certificate 442A preferred, 309A accepted)
Experience: min 2 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Major Work Area: Machine building, Maintenance, Repair, Service, Troubleshooting/Diagnostic
Type of Establishment: Industrial
Type of Equipment: Motors and controls, Transformers, Instrumentation, VFD's, PLC (programmable logic controllers)
Type of Sector: Manufacturing
Specific Skills: Install, examine, replace or repair electrical components, Maintain, repair and test switchgears, transformers, regulators and reactors, Maintain, repair and test motors, generators and control systems, Troubleshoot industrial control systems and devices (digital & analog).
Required Skills: work/communicate with others, solve problems, plan and organize assigned jobs/tasks.
Required computer skills (minimum) (Windows): Word, Excel, email (Outlook or other), internet use.
PLC experience (any brand) is a great advantage.
